I just found this painting at the local teen challenge. It’s surface is scratched but I love it anyway.
Finding old paintings is my favorite. I feel that they have a history. This one is a winter scene with
a lot of grey and blue. The only real color in it is the red cloak on the horse rider.
I should have shot it in color but the morning light was coming in and my son had bed head and this is what I saw.

My baby is 2. He’s talking, running, laughing at “boy” humor, fighting with his brothers…
He’s not a baby anymore. Everyday I look at him and can’t help but feel he’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
He really is the life of the party in our house. If he’s not giggling and playing games, he’s raining down destruction on our habitation.
There’s never a calm moment with him. He wakes up running and doesn’t stop until we put him back to bed at night.
I feel so blessed to know him and even more blessed to be raising him.

snow day
we had a freaky spring snow day last month (it took me a month to get around to developing this roll)
I had mixed feelings about it since when I really wanted it was in december;
but it meant Mark got to stay home for the day and we had a snowman.
I also got to experience black and white film in the snow. it’s delicious.

black and white’s are with tri-x in hc110b and color is with 400h

eggs
We get three dozen eggs every week from my mom, who has around 25 hens. They’re always such a work of art to me. I love the green color and the spots on the brown ones. My mamiya can focus much closer to things than my other cameras so I finally tried some semi/ macro shots of them. These are all with 400h.

this one cracked in the perfect shape of an M.
